Papaver rhoeas Fr: Coquelicot
These bright-red flowers grow wild throughout Europe, brightening the fields and roadsides. It's a medium to tall, erect or spreading plant with very bristly stems, and hairy sepals. The seed capluses are rounded and hairless, with a flattened top.
