Bar de la Tour in the very center of Connaux, between the southeast tower and the Mairie is a typical French village café. They serve a variety of pressed sandwiches (croque monsier, panini, etc.) during the summer.

Restaurant la Cabreila (was Le Bernon?) is a small place just opposite the ramparts and the Maire, in the center of Connaux. They weren't open for lunch during our visit during March, but are probably open during the summer.

Le Perroquet, 200 m east of the center, beside the D6086 highway is a bar-restaurant. It's on the corner of Rue du Docteur Carrière and the D6086. This is a bit of a dive but the people are very friendly, the food is ok and not expensive at all.

Paul Itier Restaurant is a more up-scale place, 200 m east of the center, beside the D6086 highway, and almost next door to Le Perroquet, along the dirt access road. It's very classy inside, the food is good, but it's more expensive and not very personal. Definitely a safe and comfortable place to dine. We got there a bit late for lunch and the service was very, very slow; but this is typical for French dining and not specific to Paul Itier.
