The village (or very small town) of Les Vignes sits in the lower Gorges du Tarn, 10 km up the canyon from Le Rozier. Village houses are mostly stone, and tightly packed together on the right bank of the river.
There's a low dam across the Tarn here, and a stony beach gives easy access to the river. Kayak rental is available here, for the trip down the lowest part of the Tarn Gorges.
