Often scattered individually, we found this large bunch by a rock fall just below Lac Negre, in the Alpes-Maritimes, at 2200m.
Flowers. May-Oct
Altitude. 2200 m max.
Flower. Buds erect rather than drooping.
Leaves. basal leaves round, stemmed, dry during flowering time.

C. cochleariifolia
5-20 cm; Flowers 10-12 mm.
Alt: 1300-2800 m
The bells are the same, but the buds hang rather than stand up; stalks hairy.
