Lumières is a tiny hamlet just beside the road between Apt and Cavaillon or Avignon. Lumières is in the commune of Goult, and Goult village is only a km up the road.
Lumières is a handy stop for people traveling along the old N100 highway (now known as the D900), with a couple of café-restaurants, a handy bakery and a couple of food shop.
Lumières is also the home of the Notre-Dame-de-Lumières Sanctuary, an Abbey-style chapel in operation since the 17th century.
