Aix-en-Provence Historic Itinerary Southeast Itinerary

This itinerary visits five villages to the southeast of Aix-en-Provence. The route is a loop, with a total distance of 65 km (about 1h35 driving time).


Aix-en-Provence to Puyloubier

[20 km, 26 min]
Depart Aix to the east, on Bvd Poilus and then Route Cézanne; this is the D17 via Le Tholonet and St Antonin-sur-Bayon to Puyloubier.

Puyloubier to Trets

[9 km, 13 min]
Head south on the D12 and follow it directly to Trets.

Trets to Chateauneuf-le-Rouge

[14 km, 16 min]
The simplest way is to return north 4 km and turn left (west) on the N7 to Chateauneuf-le-Rouge.

Chateauneuf-le-Rouge to Fuveau

[5 km, 10 min]
Go south on the small D46, passing below the autoroute and the N7, then over the top of a second autoroute and on to Fuveau.

Fuveau to Meyreuil

[9 km, 15 min]
Go west, then NW on the D96 (direction "Aix" via La Barque). At the junction with the N7 turn left (west) onto the route de Valbrillant to Meyreuil.

Meyreuil to Aix-en-Provence

[7 km, 12 min]
Go west, then immediately right (north) on the route de Font Gamette (D58H) via the Pont des Trois Sautets to Aix-en-Provence.
