Bus Alpes-Maritimes

Bus Travel | Bus Alpes-Maritimes |

Bus travel in the Alpes-Maritimes for 1€.

The cost of any one bus ride in the Alpes-Maritimes was 1€30.

From the 1st of January 2008 this price has been lowered to 1€00 for any bus trip in the Alpes-Maritimes. This means you can cross the departement for the same 1€00 ticket, even when changing buses along the way. The maximum time allowed is 2 and a half hours, so you can't simply use one ticket for riding the buses all day.

During this 2h30 time you can take successive buses, including the Alpes-Maritimes line TAM buses and the trams or buses of the other local lines (Ligne d'Azur, CARF, Bus Var Mer, Envibus, Sillages, Bus Azur).

The method of changing bus lines on your trip isn't completely consistent yet.

Using the lines TAM, Bus Var Mer, Envibus, Sillages or Bus Azur, just tell the driver when you get on what your final destination is, and the driver will give you a ticket-transfer that you use for each successive leg of your trip.

A trip beginning on the TAM lines and then to the Ligne d'Azur or CARF works the same way, but you get a magnetic ticket which you must validate on the second bus or tram leg of your trip.

For a trip beginning on the Ligne d'Azur or CARF and continuing on to the TAM, you'll have to buy your ticket at one of the line's agencies or kiosks. You validate the ticket when you get on the first bus. When you change to the TAM bus, give the same ticket to the driver to get your "transfer" ticket.
