Greater Periwinkle

The greater periwinkle is an evergreen, creeping plant with long trailing or arching stems. The flowers are carried in the short, ascending stems about 30 cm long.
Flowers. Mar-May
Flower. The flowers are bluish-purple, 30-50 mm.
Leaves. Shiny, bright-green broad leaves with a blunt base with hairy margins; 6 cm long.
Habitat. Shady areas and damp ground.
