Vivès is a tiny village in the hills of the Eastern Pyrénées, southwest of Perpignon. It's a pretty little village, but too isolated and to small to be "a place to visit".
No village café, but a good restaurant

Vivès is just off the D115 road southwest of Perpignon that passes Céret and Amélie-les-Bains-Palalda along the valley of Le Tech river into Spain.

We found ourselves in Vivès for a few days because of an excellent gite to stay at while we visited the area.

The area is steeply hilly and thickly forested. There is a loop hike of about 8 km between St-Jean-Pla-de-Corts (on the main road in the valley) and the hills just north of Vivès village. The trail is a yellow-marked Petite Randonée, and displayed on this board in Vivès (our photo). Altitudes are; 100 m at St-Jean-Pla-de-Corts, 228 m Vivès, 270 m north of Vivès.
