Flower. The flowers are only 20-30 mm across, and can vary from dark blue-violet to faded violet. They can have from 6 to 10 petals, that fall within 8 days.
Leaves. The leaves are persistent, with three large, distinct lobes.
Habitat. Leafy forests; humid calcareous or clay soils; rich in vegetation.
