Scuba diving is a popular sport along the Mediterranean coast, where many of the underwater artifacts date back a few centuries before the Romans began sailing along here.
The French word for diving is plongée, and a diver is a plongeur/plongeuse, not to be mistaken for a dish-washer in the restaurant.
